While most people equate the franchise world with retail, and often fast food, B2B franchises do exist and are often less of an investment than brick and mortar, with solid ROI.
Strong candidates for business type franchises are ex- executives, salespeople, customer service managers, ex business owners and sales managers.
While the investment levels are lower, the levels of success will rely almost entirely on the motivation and skill of the new owner.
